Factors determining self-assembly of hyaluronan

The conditions determining network-forming and aggregation properties of hyaluronan on the mica surface were studied. was deposited from aqueous saline solutions attached by a bivalent cation. morphology immobilized assemblies characterized atomic force microscopy. experimental results show that size aggregates as well density interconnecting fibrillar network, both made hyaluronan, at liquid-solid phase interface are determined not only its molecular weight or concentration in solution, but also dissolution storage time. These findings extend current state knowledge about conformational variability this biologically important polymer. Understanding is great importance, it governs physiological functions processability formulations. That turn determines usability different pharmacological biomaterial applications.
